New Registrations and a new date set for fitted Mouth-guards

There has been a change to the Policy and Procedure Manual in regards to free shorts and socks for new players. Only new under 9 registrations will now receive free shorts and socks. All other new registrations will have to purchase their shorts and socks; 1 pair of blue shorts, 1 pair of white shorts and a pair of socks for $50 or; shorts $22 per pair and socks $9 per pair.

Also those who missed out on the $60 fitted mouth-guards there will be another chance to purchase one on Tuesday 28th of February at 6:30pm at our Red Leap club rooms, if anyone would like to order a mouth-guard please come and see Jackie at training for an order form or contact her on 0422 217 092.

2012 Mill Park Football Club Registration Day.

After a highly successful 2011 season, The Mill Park Football Club would like to invite you to join our great club for the 2012 season.

In addition to registering, George Thalassinos from POWER-GUARD ADVANCED MOUTH-GUARDS will be in attendance on the day. He will be offering a fully fitted mouth-guards for our players. There are over 41 different colours on offer, one, two or three colour fitted mouth-guards for the low price of $60. Please print and fill in the Power Guard Order Form to hand to George on the day.

Tribute to past club President

The Mill Park Football Club is extremely saddened by the passing of former President and life member, Shane Courts.

Shane had been a member of the Mill Park Football Club for many years and was instrumental in the resurrection of the club in 2004, leading a new committee to oversee both on field and off field success and improvement. Shane was highly regarded throughout the competition as a passionate supporter of the DVFL, not only for his involvement with numerous local clubs, but also as an umpire in his later years.

A loveable larrikin by nature, a true gentleman and a proud member of the club, the committee, past and present members and supporters of the Mill Park Football Club extends its sincere condolences to Cheryl and the Courts family.

NFL Best & Fairest 2011

Early this year the club was proud to announce that a number of Mill Park players had been selected to play for the NFL. Well, all the boys have done themselves, their parenst and the club proud while playing for the NFL rep side.

Four boys from Mill Park have now been rewarded for their hard work with Best & Fairest awards presented by the NFL last night. These awards are for the best and fairest players in the league based on the home & away season, whilst playing for Mill Park.

They are:

Paul Higgins – U16′s – 1st Best & Fairest

Madison Bell – U15′s – 1st Best & Fairest

Christian Janev – U15′s – 3rd Best & Faiest

Ayden Hrovat – u14′s – 3rd Best & Fairest

End of year highlight. For those of you who are new to the club, you will get a pleasant suprise on Presentation Day. Neil always puts together a small clip of the seasons highlights by each team. The clip is played on Presentation Day before the trophies are handed out and are available to purchase. Demand for the CD’s has been very high in past years so get in early and see Neil.

We would like to take this opportunity thank Neil Lyon for again taking both action shots during the year as well as all the team photos. He has been doing this for a few years now and the results speak for themselves. Action shots are still available to purchase from Neil.
